How long will it take for me to start seeing results?
Past clients have reported seeing results start around days 7 – 10 in the elimination phase. Just remember that every person’s body is different so results will vary per person. You may start seeing results sooner!

 

Is the Elimination Diet good for athletes or someone who doesn’t want to lose weight?
Absolutely yes! I did not want to lose weight doing my first elimination diet, so I understand this concern! You will not be hungry while you go through the elimination diet. If you find that you are not getting enough food to satisfy your appetite, feel free to add in more food. There is never a need to feel hungry or deprived!

 

What can I eat on the Elimination Diet?
Even during the most restrictive elimination phase of the program you will still be able to enjoy nutrient-dense, whole foods such as vegetables, fruits, lean meats, fish and more. You’ll love the delicious recipes that are included in the program. After the elimination phase, we’ll begin slowly and methodically adding in additional ingredients to assess for inflammatory reactions.

 

Is the Elimination Diet Meal Plan a weight loss program?
Consuming foods that trigger your immune system causes inflammation and the production of cortisol, a stress hormone. This can be the cause of stubborn weight gain, bloating and water retention. The elimination of food sensitivities from your diet can help to reduce this inflammation and balance your hormones, both of which are very important to enable your body to release weight! My past clients have seen weight fall off while they are going through the elimination diet. Once you find what foods are triggers for your body, this can help you keep the weight off long-term.

 

Is the Elimination Diet suitable for my family, or will I need to cook separate meals for my spouse and kids?
Most of the time you’ll find no need to cook separate meals, and your kids and spouse will also benefit from the nutritious, healthy food. They may even find they start feeling better as well!

 

Is the Elimination Diet appropriate if I’m pregnant or breast-feeding?
The elimination diet is a healthy, nutrient-rich, whole food diet that may be appropriate even when pregnant or breast-feeding. However, I always encourage clients to check with their physician prior to beginning any dietary plan, including the elimination diet. We want to ensure that it is 100% appropriate for your specific needs and nutritional requirements during this most special time of life.
